What, or who, has saved your life?

I firmly believe that God has placed every person in my life for a reason, some for more obvious reasons than others.  Perhaps the least obvious was this fellow I met this past summer.  I have never met anyone so "wrong" for me.  Interestingly, I was seeing someone who was seemingly "perfect", at the time.  We had all the same goals and same interests, but "perfect boy" bored me.  On the other hand, "Mr. Wrong" taught me a lot about life.  Most of my friends (and his) told me over and over again that I was "too good for him".  One night, we were sitting in his room and I was explaining something my mentor had told me, "You know you're succesful as a woman in science when everyone hates you."  He told me to NOT be succesful.  That's only a small example of the little ways he contributed to my new perspective on life.  I am about to start my senior year in college, and the pressures of "success" have been driving me insane.  Though society (and my friends) look down on "Mr. Wrong's" complacency in life; it saved me.
