What's the longest relationship you've been in?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 23, 2007:
I dated this guy for two and a half years. The first year was amazing, but going to college together changed everything. He grew up with this idea of what a "lady" was supposed to look like. I desperately tried to fit the mold but failed miserably. Finally, I told him I wanted to go to medical school. This was a secret I had been hiding for almos a year. (Well, hiding from him). That was the final straw. The relationship went down hill from there, and we broke up two months later. Freedom is beautiful!
